Troy Charbonnet is an African American and Mexican American filmmaker based in Southern California. He attended Chapman University and graduated in 2021 with a BFA in Film Production.

His body of work spans across short films, mini-documentaries, commercials, and music videos–working with artists such as Bruno Mars, Anderson .Paak, Tems, Harry Styles, Ariana Grande, Ms. Lauryn Hill, P!nk, Coldplay, and selected brands such as Apple, Spotify, Nike, Adidas, and Mercedes-Benz. In 2021, he received a Video Music Award for Best Editing at the MTV VMAs and has garnered recognition globally from Vimeo and Oscar qualifying film festivals, such as EnergaCamerimage and New Orleans Film Festival. He was also a finalist for the Sundance Ignite x Adobe Fellowship in 2024.
